Hey, Friend!
All the time, energy, intention, and focus that you are placing on homeschooling your child and the day eventually comes when they are done with their formal education years.
What then?
Should you just throw them straight into the next phase? Follow what "everyone else is doing" or what they're "supposed to do?"
What if there was another step they could take? One that gives them a buffer and a chance to grow into who God has created them to be?
A gap year is the solution for just that. And I want to share with you all the details so you can begin to prepare for it now.
Grab that pen and paper because you're going to want to write down these tips to draw upon when the time comes.

Hey, Friend!
Would you call yourself an introvert or extrovert? And how about your children?
Figuring out our natural inclinations can help us in our homeschool mom relationships. When we learn to work with each other through the day in and day out of school lessons, chores, and activities, our motherhood journey can have more peace.
However, we have to be careful not to plant our feet in the ground and allow a label to dictate our life. The good news is that I have some insight that will help you find freedom and offer solutions to the difference between you and your children.
Let's dabble a little into the psychology and how this affects our ability to homeschool our children well.

Hey, Friend!
Are you stuck between a major life change to homeschooling and your child's emotions? Or maybe you started your homeschool journey and your child is not feeling it.
As a homeschool mom, our heart is so into every part of it. We want to do it well and to hear our child upset and saying they don't want to homeschool feels like a major letdown. Or a source of confusion, at the very least.
What if I told you that you and your child could come to a place of acceptance, expectation, and love for homeschooling?
After years of homeschooling and hearing stories from families, along with witnessing the mass exodus of the public school system, I have a few tips that will walk you down this road.
Grab a pen and paper and get ready to take some notes and then begin your journey to you and your child embracing homeschool.

Hey, Friend!
We enter into motherhood unsure of all the decisions we are making and feel like we should know everything. Because "obviously," all the other moms know it all and we don't. Lol!
And then...we decide to homeschool and the learning curve is steep. We jump in and figure out a plan and assume that's the way it will always be.
And then, we enter a new season of life and wonder if it's okay to change the way we homeschool, get meals on the table, divide up chores in the family, and parent our children.
Today, I am joined by Lisa Bass at Farmhouse on Boone where we share our hearts about this and so many other topics. Which includes insight into how she keeps up with homeschool and home management with her large family.
Pop those earbuds in because I know you are going to be just as encouraged and inspired as I was with this conversation.

Hey, Friend!
After 20+ years of motherhood, there are a few questions that people would ask my children that just never quite sat right with me. Unfortunately, I think you’ve run into these more times than you’d like as well.
Let’s take a deep dive into the questions and why we should refrain from using them in conversations with our and other people’s children.
And on the flip side, I have a few ways you can resolve the conversation when others ask your children these questions, including some subtle and not so subtle responses.
Let’s be the homeschool families who recognize this and it turn, change the tide of these questions that seem to be innocent, but actually carry underlying tones that we shouldn’t want spoken into our children.

Hey, Friend!
They say that money, politics, and religion are three subjects many people steer clear of discussing. But that shouldn't apply to our homeschools.
Today, let's talk openly about money and how, even if you struggle in this area, a homeschool mom can teach financial literacy and knowledge. Whether you have your finances under control or not, you are the one your children want to hear about money from.
But you don't have to do it alone. Ramsey Solutions has resources to walk alongside this important topic. And Kristina Ellis gives us insight into how we can start and continue the conversation.
Grab your homeschool mom notebook and a pen because you're going to want to jot her tips down!
